FIRST EXAMPLE: just at the moment when Edward Wilson first confirms that his professor has lied, claiming a poem to be his own, he first meets Laura. Coincidence? in this universe? ha! THEN he first meets Murach, who just observed his meeting Laura. Murach recruits Edward to spy on his professor, Dr Fredricks, who, of course turns out to be (British?-American?) intelligence, trying to find Nazi sympathisers. But that's the dance, right? FBI... foreign (but sort of "ours" anyway) intelligence... fighting the same fight, can't talk to each other... at least back then it was.
universities and whatnot
and the likes of yale? that's where that kind of organizing and/or recruiting would have been going on. the UK's been going a little crazy with their universities lately- they are worried about radical islam. and I guess they should be. and by that we always mean anti-western radical islam, right? well, that's what I mean here. and that's what britain means in terms of threat assessment.american religious fundamentalists are kinda different from islam's, I imagine. it seems that in america, a fervent religious figure who engages in some ways in the political sphere if he's got any real juice or influence, his nationalism comes first. For islam's fundamentalists, (and we can say this about the broader islamic world, I think) one's nation is a far second to the koran. so american nationalism and militarism will continue to tend to conflict with the more sharia-minded folks in the international scene. right?
idk. you tell me. sometimes I'm more articulate. holler at me on cheezburger, aight? did i leave my cheezburger handle? it's the same as on 'pedia. gott go. gott turn off my LAN access so my system doesn't get attacked anymore for a little while. stupid movie sites.
