I like some of what I have posted on this blog. please read what I have put up here. I blog @ [ redacted ] now.
tumblr gives me wild content from all over. so i guess this blog had a nobler mission than the disposition of my current blog. I can put anything cool & heady that I want up there though. tumblr is a lot more exciting. there is more action than anybody using blogger ever experienced even if they made the absolute best of blogger. the functionality there eats blogger for a fucking light snack. it's kind of sad.
so that's it. see you on tumblr. thanks.

zach galiafanakis is pretty much can't miss.
I am not sure about the hangover. it is not some of the smartest storytelling I have ever seen.
brad cooper's portrayal is not one of the most interesting or likable guys I've ever seen on screen. but i guess he pushes the story forward. we'll see.

mr. president (bush)--
mr. president (bush)-- [btw, good to see back in the news & stuff again.] don't say "the liberation of iraq", please. we're not ready for you to go around putting that in our ears again. even if liberating them was what happened (when, exactly?) all that grandiose talk just sounds weird from you now. For me, ever since "we are not at war with Islam" came out, "we're doin' it for the Iraqi people" feels out-of-place. You did paint the picture, again, that Saddam was a threat. (I agree, but I think Mohamed Elbaradei feels a little left out of the threat assessment.)
So, unless you can tell those of us who care enough to wonder why US involvement (boots on the ground or any other kind) did or did not liberate people from the following hotspots that have flared up since 1990- kosovo, somalia, ossetia, beirut, west bank & gaza, then, big wheels keep on turnin’… btw, did afghanistan get liberated in the same sense yet or ever? And this is kinda random but I want to mention- arms sales to taiwan. Does that help liberate either all the people of some nation, or some the people of some nation who need liberation particularly badly?
This note has a hasty tone and poor organization. -- my bad. good luck w/ your book, sir. I will be looking for the highlights soon. I respected a lot of things you and your various team-members did as far as governance, international disposition and even on the campaign trail. I often tried to explain your case to a lot of people who would jerk their knees against you. garden-variety Senate Democrats can suck it most of the time. all day long.
I'm just on meme patrol today. I remain an ardent follower of your intellectual positions and fiercely loyal to the truly global interests of the United States.
yours,

will travers is the thin whatever color line.
Rubicon is suggesting that it is possible for a massive and continuous corporate conspiracy to exist. in collusion with the federal government the rich and connected could orchestrate global terrorist acts. By way of massive privatization of the intelligence industry they'd play an instrumental role in executing the public interest in preventing such atrocities. I love Rubicon. as it's own fictional universe it has a believability and is strongly entertaining.
yet "9/11 was an inside job" rubs me the wrong way. As I am engrossed with this plot tonight, I can momentarily relate to the sentiment that motivates some to espouse [9/11 was an inside job]. do people still go around saying and believing that, by the way?
I knew a guy who used to pretend to believe it and would always argue it. anyway.

the identity of leroy
the mexican actually has an OK plot. the movie is sort of disarming cuz brad pitt is so unassuming. it has many worthwhile moments, though.
the mix-up over "who" leroy "is" is played as a major plot point. of course, we do learn that winston, despite being lovable and nice enough to sam the whole time, is working for someone who would screw over or kill jerry and who jerry works for. as if we couldn't tell leroy is a black guy. but even leroy had a chance to reveal that that was his name and he didn't. so, bam. figure that shit out.
all that winston did was to tell her to tell jerry that she was with leroy. would this have gotten jerry killed or saved his ass? this is all unlcear to me and depends on ted or something.
_____________
alright, so it becomes pretty clear by the end. Or does it? We do know that nayman wants to cut margolese out of a deal for the gun. we seem pretty convinced margolese has an honorable reason to want to take the gun. jerry is convinced.
but
don't we think winston may have turned around to side with jerry and sam? He has bonded with sam. He always insists he's so good at what he does, and he does seem to be good at it. He saved Sam's life. Why was leroy even trying to kill her in that scene, anyway?
So, are we sure about why Jerry killed Winston? Did he have to? This exact moment is hidden from us. I may have to watch again if I am really interested in these questions. We know that Jerry loves Sam. so we kinda have to think that he the only reason he'd need to kill winston was if winston def had sinister intent. but we get distracted that he's not black, that Jerry thought he was the leroy he knew all this time. also, maybe winston wears kevlar. but, what about all that blood?
organized thoughts next post? kbai.
there are a couple moments where these characters get to shine.

bones-- season one, episode two
"Bones" The Man in the SUV (2005)
this is s01e02 people. vintage stuff.like:
plot: there's a homeland security mole connected to booth & bones' investigation. so, turf war.
what's off-putting:
appearance: zack is a skeleton. on this show. I'm disturbed by the degree of _gaunt_.
what's weird & a lil anlysis:
most everyone else is kind of baby-face-looking. naturally, the universe or "the background" in front of which the episodes play out is just being put together, so that's amusing. there is no cam in this episode. it feels like bones is running the show at the jeffersonian. hodgins pronounces maybe two names of materials weird. I think kinda overly proper or technical; it feels unnatural.
o yeah- bones kicks the homeland security guy's ass for a second. kind of out of left field. I like that she can do it, but why is this type of display from brennan not characteristic of the show in later episodes? she is clearly supposed to be the alpha in this early conception. perhaps not "top dog" in the same way in her dynamic with booth, but clearly strong and willing to dominate when necessary.
gonna watch last 13 minutes now.
